MacOS Agent Installation — Mazama

MacOS Agent Installation — Mazama

MacOS Agent Installation — Mazama

This guide covers installing both the Huntress security agent and the NinjaRMM management agent on a Mac. Complete both installations on every MacOS device.

Part 1 — Huntress

Step 1 — Download the installer

Download the Huntress agent here: https://huntresscdn.com/huntress-installers/darwin/0.14.166.pkg

Step 2 — Run the installer

Launch the installer and follow the on-screen prompts. When asked, enter the following:

Account key: e9a76fa071f8de554ab0fdd660d49b8c Organization key: mazama

Leave the Include System Extension option checked — this is required for full protection.

Step 3 — Allow the System Extension

macOS will block the system extension and show a "System Extension Blocked" notification. Click Open System Settings. Navigate to Privacy & Security, find the Login Items & Extensions section, and click Allow next to the Huntress System Extension.

Step 4 — Allow the Network Content Filter

After allowing the extension, a prompt will appear asking if Huntress can filter network content. Click Allow.

Step 5 — Allow Full Disk Access

Still in Privacy & Security, go to Full Disk Access and make sure both Huntress and Huntress System Extension are toggled on. This is required for Huntress to provide full protection.

Done. It can take up to 15 minutes for the machine to appear in the Huntress portal.

Part 2 — NinjaRMM

Step 1 — Download the installer

Download the NinjaRMM agent here: https://app.ninjarmm.com/agent/installer/21f5d2d0-8f12-420f-954c-6914d65a140c/13.0.7941/NinjaOne-Agent_21f5d2d0-8f12-420f-954c-6914d65a140c_Mazama-MainOffice-Auto.dmg

Step 2 — Open the DMG

In Finder, locate the downloaded file. Control-click it and select Open from the menu — do not double-click it, as macOS may block software from unknown developers when opening for the first time.

Step 3 — Run the installer

The DMG will open and show a file called NinjaOneAgent.pkg. Control-click that file and select Open. The NinjaOne RMM agent installer will launch.

Step 4 — Work through the installer

Click Continue on the Introduction screen. On the Destination Select screen, choose Install for all users of this computer and click Continue. On the Installation Type screen, click Install. Enter your Mac password if prompted. Once the installer finishes, click Close.

Step 5 — Allow Full Disk Access

Open System Settings and go to Privacy & Security, then Full Disk Access. If ninjarmm-macagent is not in the list, click the + button and add it. Once it appears in the list, make sure its toggle is turned on.

Done. The device will appear in the NinjaRMM portal once the agent checks in.
