Overview

The SBC Sunriver Pub uses multiple Wi-Fi networks to separate traffic by purpose, ensuring stability, security, and consistent speed for all connected devices. Each network is configured with distinct bandwidth limits and usage policies.


1. Brewhouse

Purpose: Internal staff operations
Access: SBC staff only
Speed Limits: Unlimited upload and download
Notes:

  • Provides unrestricted bandwidth for business-critical use.

  • Used for administrative devices, internal communication, and management systems.

  • Not for guest or non-business use.


2. POS

Purpose: Point-of-sale (POS) devices
Access: Locked to POS terminals
Speed Limits: No restriction (high priority)
Notes:

  • Ensures POS devices share a dedicated network for optimal reliability.

  • Isolates payment systems from guest and staff traffic for PCI compliance and network security.

  • Required for inter-device communication between registers and kitchen display systems.


3. SBC1

Purpose: Host stand tablet
Access: Assigned device only
Speed Limits: 5 Mbps down / 1 Mbps up
Notes:

  • Provides limited, controlled bandwidth to prevent unnecessary congestion.

  • Reserved for host operations such as reservations, waitlists, and basic connectivity.


4. SunriverBrewHouse – Guest

Purpose: Public guest Wi-Fi
Access: Open to visitors of the pub
Speed Limits: 100 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up
Notes:

  • Designed to provide reliable browsing and social media access for patrons.

  • Rate limits maintain fair distribution of bandwidth and prevent interference with business networks.

  • Traffic is isolated from all internal networks for security.
